From 3 schools in Glen Clova at one time (at Wateresk, Rottal and Clova) there are now none. Clova School closed in 1994 and the nearest primary school is now at Cortachy and the secondary school is Websters High School in Kirriemuir.

The old school burnt down shortly after it was closed. It has now been rebuilt as a private house.
