Fishing in Glenesk is handled by the Dalhousie Estate. There are three main species of fish which are normally caught in the North Esk River and the surround tributaries: Salmon, Grilse, and Sea Trout.

Hillwalking

Glenesk is approx. 21 Kilometers long and offer a range of hills and walks for both the experienced and novice walker. Any one going to the hills should take proper care and be able to use a map and compass and carry sufficient equipment for safety.

Munroes

Mount Keen at 3077ft. is the most easterly of the "Munroes" (hills in Scotland over 3000ft.) but there is also Bulg and Mount Battock, The Braid Cairns and Craig Maskeldie along with many other hills for the walker to climb.
