Angus Arts

Angus Arts, founded in 2000, is a small, lively, independent charity, committed to encouraging creativity in the arts for all ages and levels of experience. Workshops, classes and other events in a wide range of arts activities, both indoors and out of doors, are held in a variety of stimulating locations, involving arts of all kinds presented in any number of ways, some of them a little surprising.

Activities take place in various locations in Glenesk

Glenesk Gun Club
Meets at the Masonic Hall, Glenesk

Angus and the Glens Curling Club
Meets at the Forfar Ice Rink, Suttieside,  Forfar. Session cost £6.50
Prospective members are invited to a free game at the club’s annual bonspiel in October

Tarfside SWRI
Meets at the Masonic hall, Tarfside on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 7.30pm.  All welcome to come along and join in at any of the meetings.

Meets at Edzell, 3rd Wednesday of the month, Inglis Memorial Hall

Scouting Contact Details

At present the Kirriemuir Scout Group is the main one that covers the local Angus Glens for the 6 to 14 age range with Beavers, Cubs & Scouts sections.

As part of the wider North Angus District, there are also Scout Groups in Brechin & Edzell.

In addition to the local Groups, the 14 to 18 age range are now known as "Explorer Scouts" which operate as a District Unit for North Angus District

Scouting is open to both boys & girls in all sections and in all Groups from January 2007.
