The Memus/Cortachy includes many settlements as well as three glens: Glen Moy, Glen Quiech and Glen Ogil.
The village of Memus lies to the south of GlenQuiech along the edge of the White Burn. In addition to a cluster of cottages you will find a church, the popular Drovers Inn and the recently built Community Hall. Memus Hall is the focal point for many gatherings and events in the area.
Cortachy lies on the edge of the South Esk next to Cortachy Castle, the seat of the Ogilvies of Airlie since 1625 and still home to Lord Airlie. Cortachy Primary School and Cortachy Church are located within this hamlet.
Dykehead lies just below the fork to Glen Prosen and Glen Clova. A former coaching inn, now known as the Royal Jubilee Arms Hotel is the central feature of this hamlet and is a popular stopping off point for coach tours.
