Menmuir Village Hall was at the forefront of the efforts of the Renewable Energies Group to supply renewable, sustainable energy supplies to village halls in the Glens area. Angus Council received a grant to look at the feasibility of sustainable energy for rural halls. Menmuir have installed a heat pump system to provide low cost background heating when the hall is not in use, this along with replacing the windows and insulating the walls has led to a warmer and cheaper to run hall. Substantial grants were available.
As well as events organised by the committee, several private events raising funds for different causes have been successful and the hall is available for private let.
